New houses, kitchens, and latrines take shape in Shikoti

Remember our March newsletter about how to build a house? [Here’s a link]. It told the story of how a house is built through the shared contributions of UKR and the families who benefit.

Kitchens and latrines are also part of the effort, and since that newsletter six weeks ago, dozens of structures have been completed in our Shikoti zone.

Construction materials were distributed in mid-April, and the 30 families we serve in Shikoti got right to work.

Over the five weeks since, many of the 27 latrines, 26 kitchens, and 28 new or renovated houses have been finished. By the end of this month, close to all of those structures will be completed and in use.
