The 3-year Family Care program aims to assist the very neediest families from ultra-poor communities. Its bold goal is transformation: a permanent end to multigenerational poverty.

Our 5 Guiding Stars are common threads, but our work sometimes goes beyond them. Family Care provides help where it is needed the most, and that looks a bit different for each and every family.

By finding ways to support families' specific needs and priorities, Family Care builds collaborative partnerships. This freedom enables each family to identify and develop their unique set of opportunities and strengths.​​
Our programming goes deep
Many organizations scale-up a single great solution, such as improving access to water, or education, or ways to save and borrow. And that is good, but extreme poverty is multidimensional and there is no silver bullet. For an individual family, positive change in one area alone - even if it's higher income - does not easily transform life.
We're different. We invest significant resources in highly vulnerable families, as needed in their unique situations, and engage with them weekly for three years. It's an all-hands-on-deck effort to work with each person so that a whole family's trajectory completely changes. Our aim is to catalyze a truly transformative impact that endures for generations.

Agriculture
Family Care helps farmers sustainably increase their farms’ diversity and productivity, improving both nutrition and incomes.
Dignified Homes
Family Care helps ensure families have basic needs like water, light, and a decent place to sleep. It also offers them materials to rebuild their homesteads to a standard that brings dignity within their community.
Education
Family Care ensures all children can access K-12 education, and opens opportunities for youth to reach new heights through vocational or university studies.
