The first six youth from our new families joined vocational training programs late last year. The program offers fees and required tools to all interested young people from the families in Family Care.

Youth must demonstrate their genuine interest by volunteering for six months in the community, before joining.

Below are some of the go-getters who first jumped at the opportunity and have since begun their studies.

Construction and building related trades like surveying, electrical wiring, masonry, and plumbing are the most popular vocational courses. Both young women (above, with UKR’s Andrew), and young men (below - with UKR’s Lydia) are going after these opportunities.
