IMMACULATE

Diploma in Nursing, Kenya Medical Training College

Immaculate
Immaculate

Immaculate’s interest in nursing was formed during visits to the hospital years ago, when her grandmother was needing care.

After she completes her Diploma and secures a job, Immaculate aims to become a nurse in charge, and eventually to work overseas where nursing jobs are in high demand. And one day, she plans to establish her own medical clinic in Kenya.

“I want to gain that experience of an international nurse. Moreover, if the pay is good, I can change home. My grandmother deserves a comfortable life after sacrificing a lot to raise us.”

Wherever she will serve, Immaculate’s compassion and empathy are sure to shine brightly.

“From an early age, I’ve been captivated… by buildings.,” says Vincent. “My inspiration lies in the hands-on aspect of constructing structures that provide essential shelter.”

By the time he joined high school in 2021, Vincent was regularly volunteering to help build semi-permanent mud houses. The effort usually involves several villagers who join efforts to share labor, ensuring they all build decent homes. Vincent’s knowledge and passion for construction originated from this early-age community service.

He is now looking ahead, excited to build modern homes, businesses, and schools. He dreams of being a contractor with his own company, and of creating positive change in his home village.

JONES

Bachelor in Education Science, Kaimosi Friends University

Jones
Jones

“Growing up, I used to go to the farm and ‘address’ the maize stocks, as a principal does to students during assembly,” said Jones with a reminiscing smile.

“Other times I was called upon to write notes on the blackboard in high school. These are acts I truly enjoyed and never thought much of them. But as I was nearing completion of my high school, I was awakened by career choices, and I discovered that all the signs were preparations [for me] to pursue teaching.”

Jones is passionate about chemistry and physics, which have always captured her interest. She recognizes her strength in explaining scientific concepts to her peers, and this gives her great confidence that teaching science is a perfect career path.

Jones dreams of one day starting her own school, and is truly excited by what the future holds for her. “I believe education is an equalizer, and all social classes should access it.”
